ORPHANS

We have extended our reached into Nairobi, Kenya with great impact. Kenya was chosen because of the abject poverty. There are close to 3.1 million orphans in Kenya mostly as a result of AIDS. Several others are living in different states of vulnerability. These numbers are projected to rise significantly in the coming years. Most Orphans and Vulnerable Children are receiving little or no support at all.

We now have a volunteer nurse that provides services once a year to give free physical examinations and HIV/AIDS tests and HIV/AIDS counselors to teach on preventions. We are in dire need of dentists, medical doctors, nurses, eye doctors and educators to assist with the orphans.

OBJECTIVE OF ORPHANS MISSION

Pinaple Farm

Welcome Centre/Library

Brick Making Machine

Our orphans’ mission will provide for children, many of whose parents have died from full blown AIDS. We will provide care, support, guidance and counseling and a daily feeding program of one bowl of porridge (flour and water). We have a planned project to plant approximately 10,000 donated pineapple seedlings, a half an acre of groundnuts/peanuts and maize corn. The proceeds from the pineapple sales will afford Project Hope Global Outreach, Inc., the financial resources to purchase school uniforms, basic medical needs, and school supplies for the orphans.

A welcome center and library has been built but this is in just one of the villages (we want to complete this in twelve others). Moreover, we propose to further develop a welcome center and library to afford the orphans, the village school and community the opportunity to have access to books. We are in need of encyclopedias and education books.

A brick making machine was purchased and over 40,000 bricks have been made by hand. Four sewing machines were purchased and a village elder widower assist in sewing the worn and torn clothes of the orphans. He has also made their uniforms.

Project Hope Global Outreach continuous Prayer is at work finding ways to meet their needs, physical, social, emotional and mental concerns, while allowing them the opportunity to explore their talents and build self-knowledge and self confidence.

Counseling is done with   the extended families/communities in finding ways to cope with the harsh conditions.

We have also been able to provide a volunteer nurse once a year to give free physical examinations and HIV/AIDS tests and HIV/AIDS counselors to teach on preventions.  Project Hope Global Outreach Africa is in dire need of dentists, medical doctors, nurses, eye doctors and educators to assist with the orphans.
